NOTE
The person that someone has a crush on is considered unattainable for many reasons: they are much older (e.g., a student in a higher grade, an adult, etc.), they are a celebrity, they are an authority figure (e.g., a friend’s parent, teacher/professor, boss, politician, etc.), etc.
